Terms of Use

1 About GrangeRN
GrangeRN provides nursing education resources, including study guides, practice questions, quizzes, blog articles, and faculty teaching materials. These terms describe permitted use of this website and its resources.
This website and its resources are intended for adults age 18 and older. Please use the contact form only if you are 18 or older.
2 Educational purpose
GrangeRN resources support learning and teaching. They are not individualized medical advice, patient-care instructions, or a substitute for professional judgment, clinical supervision, current authoritative references, or institutional policies and procedures.
Educational information can change, and materials may contain errors or omissions. Verify information before applying it in a clinical setting. Practice questions and quiz results are learning tools; they do not establish clinical competence or guarantee a grade, examination result, licensure, or employment. Resources do not confer continuing-education credit unless expressly identified as doing so.
3 Ownership and general use
GrangeRN retains copyright in its original materials. Third-party materials and trademarks remain the property of their respective rights holders.
Access to or authorized acquisition of a resource grants only the stated permission to use it. It does not transfer copyright or ownership to an instructor, student, employer, department, university, or other institution.
You may browse the website and use its publicly available learning activities for your own study. Downloading, copying, or sharing files is permitted only as expressly authorized for the resource or under the faculty license below. Nothing in these terms limits uses permitted by applicable law.
4 Faculty resource licenses
The person or entity that purchases a faculty resource retains the license and associated use rights. Purchasing a resource does not transfer its copyright. GrangeRN retains copyright in its original materials.
An individual purchase gives the purchasing instructor a nonexclusive, nontransferable license for their own teaching. An institutional purchase gives the purchasing university or other institution a nonexclusive license for use by its designated instructors within the scope purchased. Institutional purchase does not automatically authorize unlimited instructors, courses, departments, or campus-wide access.
An authorized instructor may display materials in courses they directly teach and provide classroom copies to enrolled students. They may upload materials to a private, access-controlled learning management system space for those courses, accessible only to authorized teaching users within the license scope and enrolled students. Students may use their copies for learning but may not redistribute them. Keep copyright, attribution, and other ownership notices intact.
Neither individuals nor institutions may:
Share resource files with instructors or courses outside the applicable license.
Place materials in unrestricted faculty drives, departmental repositories, resource banks, or institution-wide libraries.
Repost materials publicly, including on websites, social media, file-sharing services, or public course pages.
Sell, sublicense, or include materials in another product or resource collection.
Remove ownership notices or present the materials as their own work.
Additional instructors, courses, or uses beyond the applicable license require additional permission from GrangeRN.
5 Changes in employment or institutional affiliation
For an individually purchased resource, the license stays with the individual purchaser when they change institutions. The departing instructor may retain their personal authorized copy and continue permitted teaching use elsewhere. They must remove institutional copies from course spaces and systems under their control and request removal by the appropriate administrator where they cannot remove copies themselves. The former institution and replacement instructors receive no continuing rights under that individual license.
For an institutionally purchased resource, the license stays with the purchasing institution when an instructor leaves. The institution may retain authorized copies and designate a replacement instructor within the purchased scope. The departing instructor may not retain or use copies under the institution’s license unless separately authorized by GrangeRN or covered by their own license.
Private course-space copies must remain within the applicable license scope. Remove access when a course ends, and do not copy materials into another course or make them available to another instructor unless that use is covered by the license.
6 Responsible use
Do not interfere with website operation, attempt unauthorized access, distribute malicious software, or use the site to infringe another person’s rights.
Do not submit identifiable patient information, confidential student records, protected examination materials, or information you are not authorized to share.
7 Unauthorized sharing
If unauthorized use or distribution is identified, GrangeRN may request removal of materials, withdraw permissions or restrict access where available, and pursue appropriate remedies under applicable law.
Where verified conduct warrants it, GrangeRN may report the matter to an appropriate institution, platform, or authority. Any response will depend on the circumstances and available evidence.
8 External resources
Links to external websites are provided for convenience. GrangeRN does not control their content, availability, or privacy practices. A link does not by itself indicate sponsorship, affiliation, or endorsement.
9 Privacy
Please review GrangeRN’s Privacy Policy for information about data collected through the website and any available contact or subscription features.
10 Availability and updates
Resources and website features may be revised or removed. GrangeRN does not promise uninterrupted access, error-free materials, or a particular educational outcome.
These terms may be updated as the website develops. The effective date will identify the current version. Material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law.
